California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger recently vetoed a unanimously approved measure from the State Assembly. It’s about financing the port of San Francisco, so it’s not really exciting news by itself. Giving an NFL player a $5,000 fine seems like the most useless punishment on earth.
Kyle Vanden Bosch makes $3.6 million a year. Fining him for roughing the passer has almost no influence whatsoever on his decision-making.

Beck’s book is titled Arguing with Idiots: How to Stop Small Minds and Big Government. For irony and unintentional comedy, that’s hard to top.
